A beautiful example of an old northern Thai water bottle. The maker of this classic form, like many village potters, drew his inspiration from nature – in this case gourds and pumpkins. The burnished red earthenware is marked with lime scale - a sign of years of constant use – and the neck is beautifully worn. The swollen fluted body and the elegant neck make this pot a fine example of its type.
